While Novemeber 15th is the official day for Shichi-Go-San, it's also important that it's a good experience for your child so anytime around the day is fine! In Japan the ceremony known as "Shichigosan," celebrates three special years in a child's life. "Shichi" meaning 7, "go" meaning 5, and "san" meaning 3, are the hallmark years of childhood. In Japan, Shichigosan is normally celebrated in November. The Japan Society will be hosting ceremonies for the event October 19th and 20th.
